Zoo, Lake, Spring.

Hello, Spring? Is that you? Take off your coat... stay awhile!

It's starting to get really great here. We are playing outside, we are taking walks, we are getting out and doing things. Matt is not golfing in the house anymore... which by the way I'm beginning to grind my teeth over!
Both kids got out this past weekend. Eleanor was all over... throwing sticks in the lake, living life in her car, pointing at airplanes and birdies. Grady got out too and hung out in the pack and play while I planted bulbs and soaked in some sun. The weekend started off on a high - we went to breakfast at the zoo - which is a fav of ours. The line was a bit long, but the kids were so good. G slept and E did eat pretty well. I brought my coffee. And we wandered the zoo. Matt put on his pedometer and figured he and E did somewhere around 1.3 miles - which made for a nice nap.

We've been walking down to the lake ... sometimes taking the car. There isn't the best sharing system with the car - Eleanor doesn't understand when it's Grady's turn. Lucky for us, Grady is too little to care when it's Eleanor's turn.

Grady has started pulling himself up on us when we are laying on the floor playing. Belly crawl is coming. I can't believe how my baby is growing. I'm still getting used to E's chatter and going - it'll be a whole new world when it's two of them totally mobile. They are getting used to playing with each other... she does try to give him hugs which are just more gentle body slams than anything and his playing with her is really just crawling into the middle of her mess and hanging out.
We had a breakthru with sleeping. SHE is sleeping in her bed and not laying on the floor in front of the door! It's taken a little over a month BUT we have progress!!! Now I'm just working to convince Grady to not wake up at night.. or if he does to only do it once!

MJR watches EER run across the yard with her golf clubs with GRR lays in the grass playing with a plastic shovel: it's going to be a good summer, I just have a feeling.
